# How does automatic email client configuration work?

To make it easier to configure your mailbox on your computer, we recommend using
Mozilla Thunderbird
because it supports automatic provisioning with our servers, is free, and is available on all platforms: macOS, Linux and Windows.

Simply create a new account in Thunderbird and enter your email address and password. The full configuration will be created automatically.

If you wish to use the dreadful Outlook, please note that it does not support automatic configuration with our servers.

To install your account on an iOS device (iPhone/iPad), or in the Mail application on macOS, you can use our configuration generator:

Once you have completed the form, an email will be sent to the address provided with a link to a configuration file to download and open. Apple's assistant will then guide you through the process.
